It seems to me that the good life is not any fixed state. […] The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination." Carl Rogers"

My Bio
Hi, I’m Tayler – a licensed psychotherapist passionate about providing affirming, trauma-informed mental health care for individuals, children, and families. I specialize in adoption and foster care support, and provide Neurodiversity affirming and LGBTQIA+ affirming therapy, and helping clients navigate life transitions, anxiety, and healing from trauma.
I earned my Bachelor's in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2016 and completed my graduate degree through Aurora University. During my academic journey, I completed impactful internships at The Grand Avenue Club and The Center for Veterans Issues, deepening my commitment to client-centered, culturally responsive care.
After graduating, I gained diverse clinical experience at Family Options Counseling, where I supported children, teens, and families—especially those impacted by adoption, foster care, and trauma—through personalized, evidence-based therapy. I later joined Kenosha Community Health Center, where I provided psychotherapy and mental health consultations across all ages in a collaborative medical setting.
In 2019, I founded Nova Mental Health Services to break away from traditional, rigid clinical models. I envisioned a therapy space that embraces growth, innovation, and true work-life balance for both clinicians and clients. In 2021, Nova MHS expanded into a group practice, allowing us to serve more clients while maintaining low caseloads and deeply personalized treatment plans.
As a graduate of the accredited Training for Adoption Competency , I provide expert support to families navigating adoption and foster care, with a strong emphasis on serving LGBTQIA+ individuals and families with compassion and respect.
Outside of the therapy room, I am often spending time with my daughter, spouse, and our three fur babies (two cats and one dog). I also enjoy exploring new restaurants, improving my skills as an amateur aerialist, practicing photography or having a cozy night in reading a book or doing a fiber art such as crochet.
Let’s create space for healing, connection, and growth—together.
