My Bio

Sarah is a dedicated mental health clinician currently completing her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is pursuing specialized certifications in Trauma-Informed Care and Substance Abuse Counseling, equipping her with advanced skills to support clients with diverse needs.
With a deep commitment to healing, empowerment, and personal growth, Sarah helps individuals navigating complex trauma, substance use challenges, identity exploration, and relational wounds. Her counseling approach is rooted in cultural humility, ensuring that every client feels seen, respected, and understood in the therapeutic space.
As a Certified Peer Specialist, Sarah brings a unique perspective that balances professional expertise with lived experience. She has co-facilitated and led group therapy sessions, created case conceptualizations through a multicultural lens, and applied evidence-based modalities tailored to each client’s needs.
Her therapeutic framework integrates Relational-Cultural Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), among other approaches. She is also expanding her training in family systems therapy, personality disorders, and Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD).
Above all, Sarah believes therapy should be a collaborative, compassionate journey grounded in authenticity and curiosity. She honors the stories, strengths, and identities her clients bring into the counseling room, fostering a safe and supportive space for healing and growth.
Outside of her clinical practice, Sarah stays connected through activism, community engagement, physical movement, and lifelong learning. She values nurturing connections—whether spending time with loved ones, caring for her cats, or exploring Milwaukee’s arts and music scene.
